Want to know how the conversion works?
The conversion is not complicated, there is a simple formula for it:
- Number of minutes/60 => Conversion from hours and minutes to decimal
- Decimal time * 60 => Conversion from decimal to hours and minutes
Example
Example 1: You have worked for 24 minutes. When converted to decimal, this equals to 0.4..
The formula for this is 24/60 = 0.4
Example 2: 3 hours and 20 minutes of working time equals 3.33 decimal time.
The formula for this: 200 (60*3 + 20)/60 = 3.33
Although the conversion is relatively simple, it is in any case easier to simply use a converter for this process.
